How I made charitable donations in this Christmas time

I am delighted to announce that this Christmas is different for me. How? I made a charitable donation this year!

I think this is the best way to show God’s love to a person in need. I am overly delighted that I could bring a smile on somebody’s face.

I always wanted to do something like this but never got the opportunity to do so.

How I got the opportunity to make a charity

The last couple of the months were crazy: I had quite a bit of writing projects to complete.

I wanted to publish my write up on a fabulous website humbledollar.com.

So, I contacted Jonathan Clements who is the founder and editor of HumbleDollar. He is also an author, financial advisor, financial planner, personal finance columnist, bicyclist and occasional runner, and a great person.

Jonathan, asked me to contribute an article on my personal debt story. After reading my article he offered me a remuneration of $50, which I told him to donate on behalf of me.

He did the same; the money went to a popular charity organization World Vision who are working to empower people out of poverty, children who seek health care, education, and protection for the last 65 years.

After giving the amount ($50) to improve a child’s life, Jonathan wrote me

I want to show my gratitude to Jonathan as he gave me the opportunity to show this kindness.

When I go to the website of the World Vision, I see, there is an opportunity to sponsor children in need. They even accept monthly contribution as well.

Well, I am happy since this is the sweetest things I have ever did.

I would like to mention another good side of making charitable donations.

What is that?

Since I give financial insights, this piece will not be the exception.

Do you know that some charitable donations help you to get tax benefit?

Though, my $50 donation is not included; but there are many ways in which you can make charitable donations to get the tax advantages.

Well, Making a charity is a kindness, you shouldn’t hope a return from it.

But, people who have quite a bit of money should make the charitable donation more often.

By doing so, not only they can make somebody’s life better, but also can avoid costly charges of Uncle Sam’s.

However, there are many Dos and Don’ts of tax benefits of giving/charity: You should be aware of the terms and conditions.

I would suggest you go through the tips given by the IRS  on tax benefits of making a charitable donation. Check out the IRS website to get more details on charitable donations.

Lastly, I would like to thank God for standing by my side from the time when I lost my beloved mom who was a pillar of my life.

I am sure that my mom is happy to see that her delicate baby is now doing something momentous.

God has changed my life and shows me the way to do something generous.

I wish I will get more opportunities to show my love to people who are in need.
